When I created this print I was being exposed to the beauties of Italy on a regular basis. I was seeing the hope and joy in the mundane things like watching the sun rise and observing the worn path in stairs that have been traversed by millions of people. I have now heard moments like these refered to as "glimmers" where your brain captures that moment in time as a "core memory" The white space made from removing the maroon, dusty rose, and purple ink encapsulates that feeling.
